Learn more about our impactful programs at www.raisingthevillage.org Role Description Reporting to the Head of Implementation, The Area Manager will lead the successful implementation of Raising The Village (RTV) programs in RTV's districts of operations in the selected region and provide strategic and operational oversight to the replication strategy across the country. The person in this role will be accountable for achieving our reach and impact targets in their region and ensure that our programs and operations align with RTV’s vision, strategy, and model of change and comply with our policies, frameworks, and funding obligations. In order to build the capacity of the field teams and partner with government staff, the incumbent will be required to take leadership in mentoring, coaching, and team building. Key Role and Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive area Specific strategies to address ultrapoverty and promote sustainable development goals. Collaborate with the country senior leadership to align regional objectives with the overall organizational mission and vision. Contributor to Strategic Plan in growth and expansion and the development and implementation of organizational pivots and initiatives. Support other external engagement initiatives, including collaborations with other INGOs, local organizations, private sector, sector working groups, and line ministries within the area of jurisdiction to improve program quality and delivery. Staff Training and Development: Team Building Practical on-ground training and development of the Project Manager and other program staff in Skills Practices to deliver the RTV methodology and effectively and efficiently manage human resources and assets. 1-on-1 mentorship of Project Managers and skills development planning. In-field skills training capacity building, best practice adoption, and program staff development. Conduct team management training and development. RTV Methodology Develop and review RTV methodology training manuals and guides - Champion for new initiative development and integration. Replication Programming Replication owner of program design, implementation, and evaluation phases. This includes supporting other replication districts across Uganda. Support expansion into new districts of operations, including participating in initial district government meetings and signing District MoUs. Support your teams in conducting RTV methodology training for all government extension officers, including community development officers, agricultural extension workers, etc. Work in partnership with the leadership team to support replication expansion. In-country partnerships support for site visits, meetings, and representation of senior RTV leadership.
