Business Development Executive (BDE) is a strategic role focused on driving long-term organisational growth by identifying new opportunities in the Telematics market, building high-value partnerships, and expanding revenue streams. This role involves deep market analysis and the cultivation of sustainable client relationships. Core Responsibilities Market Opportunity Identification: Conduct extensive research and analysis to uncover new market segments, emerging industry trends, and competitor activities. Lead Generation & Prospecting: Use proactive outreach—including social selling, networking, and cold outreach—to build a robust pipeline of qualified leads. Relationship Management: Establish and nurture long-term connections with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and C-suite executives to turn prospects into strategic partners. Strategic Pitching & Presentations: Develop customised proposals, pitch decks, and value propositions that directly address client pain points and business goals. Deal Negotiation & Closure: Lead complex negotiations regarding contract terms, pricing, and service agreements to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, product, and operations teams to align company offerings with market needs and ensure a seamless client onboarding experience. Performance Tracking: Maintain accurate data in CRM systems (like Salesforce or HubSpot) and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as pipeline value and conversion rates. Key Skills & Qualifications Education: A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is typically required. Strategic Thinking: Ability to see and identify long-term growth avenues beyond immediate sales targets. Communication & Persuasion: Exceptional verbal and written skills for high-level networking, storytelling, and articulating complex solutions. Negotiation Skills: Advanced ability to influence stakeholders and navigate complex decision-making processes to secure high-value deals. Technical Proficiency: Mastery of CRM tools, business intelligence software, and digital networking platforms like LinkedIn Sales Navigator. Resilience & Adaptability: A goal-oriented mindset capable of thriving in fast-paced, target-driven environments with evolving market conditions. Common Performance Metrics (KPIs) Number of new qualified leads and meetings set per month. Total revenue generated from new accounts. Conversion rate from initial lead to closed opportunity. Market penetration in new geographic regions or industry verticals.
