Medical Sonographer job at Mondays Hope Medical Centre

Academic Qualifications: Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound, Medical Imaging, or a related field from a recognized institution. Professional Qualifications: Valid registration and licensure with the Uganda Allied Health Professionals Council Continuous Professional Development (CPD) credits in diagnostic sonography. Experience: At least 2 years of proven experience in a clinical setting performing various ultrasound procedures. Experience in obstetric, abdominal, vascular, and musculoskeletal imaging is preferred. Special Skills Needed: Proficiency in using ultrasound equipment and other diagnostic imaging tools. Strong understanding of anatomy, pathology, and imaging techniques. Excellent communication and patient care skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple cases. Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy. Good teamwork and interpersonal skills. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures as ordered by physicians. Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging procedures. Ensure quality control and maintenance of ultrasound equipment. Accurately document and interpret sonographic findings. Communicate results clearly to physicians and relevant healthcare staff. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to safety protocols. Keep accurate records of all procedures performed.
